Maggie + Mitch / Italy Wedding Photographer
Monterosso al Mare, Italy
I first met Maggie + Mitch at another awesome wedding earlier this year – more on that one soon – so when they contacted me about their very own wedding to be held in Italy, I was pretty excited. After catching up via Skype to hear more about their plans, I knew this one was going to be on another level.
A few days after our amazing time in Spain, with my wife and daughter in tow, we drove (that was an experience… ha!) from Florence to the beautiful village of Monterosso Al Mare in Cinque Terre. The scenery coming down the cliff face… WOW. Maggie and Mitch chose the most stunning ancient hermitage (once inhabited by a community of Benedictine monks) nestled in the hills just outside Monterosso, for the girls pre-wedding preparations, wedding ceremony and reception. With spectacular views overlooking the Mediterranean, it was easy to see why they were so in love with this place. It was absolute perfection.
Maggie and Mitch have such a beautiful connection, evident in their heartfelt wedding ceremony. So their guests could revel in a truly Italian experience, Prosecco was served after the ceremony and at the reception, they feasted on beautiful Italian food and wine and were treated to gelato, via the sweetest little gelato cart, in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. It was important to Maggie and Mitch that their guests (who had traveled from all over the world) had fun and F-U-N they did have. M&M’s crew definitely know how to #partypartyparty, celebrating well into the wee hours of the morning.
This wedding is one that am I still so grateful to have been a part of and am very humbled by. Thank you once again Maggie and Mitch, for entrusting me to capture your EPIC wedding day.
